1. Eligibility and accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You must not use the service for unlawful purposes or to violate others’ rights.

Content and AI-generated outputs. The information you provide will be contextualised and used to produce AI-generated outputs that may be shown to external users (for example, recruiters who view or chat with your Folio). Responsibility for the content you upload and how it is represented in those outputs lies solely with the account holder. Please be mindful of the content you upload and ensure it is accurate and appropriate.

2. What Folio does (and doesn’t do)

Folio is a technology platform that helps candidates create interactive profiles and enables recruiter-style Q&A experiences. Folio is not a recruitment agency, and we do not guarantee interviews, hiring outcomes, or recruiter behaviour.

You are responsible for evaluating any recruiter or third party you interact with. We strongly recommend exercising due diligence before sharing sensitive information or agreeing to interviews.

3. Your content and permissions

You retain ownership of content you upload or submit (e.g. CVs, documents, profile text, and chat messages) (“User Content”).

To operate the service, you grant Folio a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, process, and display your User Content only as needed to provide and improve product functionality (for example: generating your Folio profile, powering chat, enabling sharing links/QR codes, and showing engagement history).

4. Sharing and public links

If you create a share link/QR, you understand that people with that link may be able to view and chat with your Folio. You are responsible for who you share your link with.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scrape, crawl, or use automated means to extract data from the service
• impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or affiliations
• harass, threaten, or engage in discriminatory behaviour
• upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or violates privacy rights
• attempt to bypass security, access controls, or usage limits

6. AI-generated outputs

Some Folio features use AI to generate answers or extract structured information from your documents. AI outputs can be inaccurate or incomplete.

7. Subscriptions and billing

If you purchase a paid plan, you agree to pay applicable fees and taxes. Billing is handled through our payment provider. Plan features and usage limits may vary by plan. If you cancel, your plan access may change at the end of your billing period depending on your subscription status.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if required to protect the service, users, or third parties.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Folio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Notice describes how we collect and use personal data, including limited website analytics used to improve usability and reliability.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to notify you by updating the date at the top of this page.
